Bailey and Ty met in their final years at The Ohio State University. It was the week leading up to the fall semester of 2015 and they found themselves sitting across from each other at a campus bar. As members of Phi Delta Theta and Pi Beta Phi, they shared mutual friends however this was the first time they met one another. After a night of watered down drinks the table asked for their checks. Tyler was kind enough to share his pen, but before the hand off Ty playfully drew a line on Bailey's face with the back of the pen. Or that was what Bailey thought...! Turns out it was the side with ink and Bailey now stood in the bar with a black pen mustache. This started a friendly rivalry between the two and it didn't take long before they found themselves hanging out every chance they could.

After dating for 6 years Ty knew it was going to be difficult to surprise Bailey with a proposal. What better way to make it all about Bailey then propose on his 29th birthday?! While visiting Boston, Bailey planned a fancy steak dinner for Ty's birthday. Ty grabbed the waiter to solidify his plan when Bailey left the table. "Let's get a picture by the water" Ty suggested as they were heading out the door. Reluctantly, Bailey agreed and they made their way outside near the waterfront. Bailey proceeded to put her purse down and turned to find Ty down on one knee! Despite the photo the waiter took, Bailey was over the moon. Boston will always have a special place in their hearts now and the two can't wait to go back and relive that special moment they shared.
