San Miguel is beautiful, but the local water can be tough on sensitive stomachs (a.k.a. “Montezuma’s Revenge”). We recommend sticking to bottled or filtered water, even for brushing your teeth. Better safe than sorry!
A callejoneada is a special San Miguel tradition — a festive parade through the cobblestone streets with a mariachi band, giant papier-mâché puppets, and a donkey with tequila for everyone to enjoy. It’s a fun way that brings everyone together to kick off the festivities!
