Where will the event be held?
Answer
The wedding celebration will be held at the Hall of Laureates at 100 Locust St, Des Moines, IA 50309. The Hall of Laureates is headquarters of the World Food Prize organization, and is located in the heart of downtown next to the river. Parking around the Hall of Laureates is limited to street parking, with metered parking on city streets until 9pm and free parking on the bridges. There are also public parking garage a block away located at 3rd and Court, and 4th and Grand.

Where can I stay?
Answer
There is a limited block of rooms at the Hilton Embassy Suites, 101 E Locust St Des Moines IA 50309 (515-244-1700), directly across the river from the Hall of Laureates. To reserve a room, please call the number provided and ask to reserve a room under the Rhoads-Banach wedding block. If you are having troubles making a reservation please call Kiergan at (515) 559-0083. The hotel is within walking distance and offers a shuttle to and from the venue. There is also a number of other hotels in the downtown area, as well as numerous Airbnb's in the wider surrounding suburbs that are very accommodating for guests planning to travel in larger groups. The nearest major airport is the Des Moines airport.

What is the format of the event?
Answer
The event will follow a typical wedding ceremony format: there will be a vow renewal ceremony, followed by dinner and a reception all in the Hall of Laureates. Guests will be expected to adhere to the venue's policies regarding COVID-19 precautions. With an abundance of love and caution we look forward to getting together to share some good food, music, and memories with some of the most awesome people we know!

The event dress code is formal wedding cocktail attire. Throw on your best shoes and wear something that you've been waiting to wear all of 2020!
