I planned the engagement weeks in advance to make a not-so coincidental "quick work task" seem somewhat believable. I made dinner plans with friends at a restaurant across the street from the iconic Power & Light Building. Several minutes before leaving, I mentioned a contractor working on the 15th floor of the building made an error and I needed to quickly look. I figured Bailey would choose to wait in the car if we drove, so I called an Uber to make sure she had no choice but to tag along. We made it to the 15th floor and walked around for a moment, quickly followed by another not-so coincidental suggestion to go up to the 31st floor for a view of the city skyline. We walked around the terrace until I saw the small rock I had placed several days prior signifying the perfect backdrop of The Kauffman and Crossroads District. I dropped down on one knee, forgot my speech, and Bailey said "yes" before I could get the engagement ring on her finger. We are beyond excited to share our day with each of you!
