We're Getting Married

We met when i started my Amazon job, he was an ambassador and i; a normal warehouse associate. I was walking out of work with my best friend and he caught my eye like nothing else. My breath caught in my throat as we made eye contact; i shyly kept walking. That night my friend Breanne was offered a 'friend request' from him. She immediately told me to add him as well and try to strike up a conversation. To my surprise he was the one to message first; a compliment of my cat. The next morning i was feeling happier than ever, until i was pulled into the office, and was told i was being let go from my position at Amazon. I drove to the Sheetz on exit 44, crying; i could barely see the road ahead of me. I told him i was upset and i had just lost my job. My ex arguing with me all week hadn't helped the anxiety i felt in my chest either. Mike asked if i wanted to hangout to which i of course said yes. We ate at the typical McDonalds and spent a day at the mall like any young, bored, adult on a December afternoon. We clicked instantly.. We sat in my car just talking for hours straight, about everything and nothing. We got each other; we shared stories about our past, present and what our individual future would look like. Hes the kindest man Ive ever met; he bought me a stuffed foxy, and even though he hardly knew me, he told me id never be alone, and id always have someone by my side to help and protect me, and i trusted him with my life; still do to this very day. I laid my head on his shoulder as we chatted the night away; and at about 6:00pm, on a cold Thursday evening, he took my hand, leaned down, and gave me the softest, gentlest, most sincere kiss Ive ever had.. Almost a year later we're engaged, and i owe my relationship to my cat for getting the attention of the man Ive been in love with ever since I saw him. Thanks Sixie.
