The Clay Theatre

The Wedding Website of Joseph Bottaro and Bailey Kelly
The Clay Theatre has a rich film history dating back to its opening in 1937. In its early years, the theatre screened a variety of films, from golden-age Hollywood classics like "Gone with the Wind" and "Casablanca" to newsreels and cartoons. The theatre drew in sailors from the nearby Naval Air Station, creating a vibrant scene on Friday nights with taxi cabs and white-uniformed sailors lining the streets. Watching a movie there in its former glory would have been a magical experience, with the smell of fresh popcorn filling the air and the flicker of the projector casting a warm glow. Our love of film has always been a cornerstone of our relationship. We've spent countless hours sharing our favorite movies and discussing the artistry behind them. Being able to get married in such an iconic venue, surrounded by the echoes of cinematic history, makes our special day even more meaningful. We can't wait to celebrate our love story, surrounded by all of our favorite people. - Bailey
