The Chaney Wedding 06.09.2024

Drew and Bailey met in Murrieta, California on July 20th, 2020. When they met, they instantly became close. Drew would always joke with Bailey and ask if she would come to Maryland someday. She joked back and agreed to, but without intention. As their trip continued, they grew closer, more as a couple than as the friends they started off as. Drew even saved Bailey from being bit by a Black Widow. Bailey tried to play hard to get and suggested he come see her first in St.Louis and meet her family. He did 3 days after she returned home. 4 days later, she was on a plane to Maryland and the rest is history. Within their first year of being together, they grew exponentially both in academics, jobs, and responsibilities. They bought their dream (first) home, and adopted a golden retriever named ‘Cali’. While Drew was working hard in his apprenticeship and Bailey was finishing her BA in Communications, Drew began to plan his proposal. Bailey frequently noticed the caller ID of the jeweler on the phone and was so excited about the impending engagement. Yet, the biggest joy came when they found out they were expecting a beautiful baby girl in June 2022. Just about this time, they rescued a 14 year old long hair cat named ‘Beans’. December 23rd, 2021, Drew proposed to Bailey on their trip home for Christmas at the Missouri Botanical Garden Glow. Olivia joined the happy couple June 7, 2022 and the couple feels blessed to have their little girl be present on their special day. There are many challenges and successes for the couple, but the growth and strength (and Irish stubbornness) they have together is unstoppable. Let’s get these two (FINALLY) married!
