Both our ceremony and reception will be held aboard the MV Skansonia, a beautifully restored 1929 wooden ferry permanently docked on the north shore of Lake Union. • Address: 205 NE Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98105
Weather permitting, our ceremony will take place outside on the bow of the ship with the Seattle skyline as our backdrop. Cocktail hour and dancing will flow across both the outdoor decks and the covered, climate-controlled indoor spaces.
Yes, but it is limited! The MV Skansonia has access to a nearby private lot, which holds about 17 cars. Beyond that, there is plenty of neighborhood street parking along NE Northlake Way. Because parking is a hot commodity on Lake Union, we highly encourage ridesharing (Uber/Lyft) or carpooling if you are traveling with a group.
Yes. The main entrance has a ramp, and the entire main floor—including the dining area, bar, restrooms, and the outdoor ceremony bow—is fully ADA accessible.
Dinner will be served buffet-style, featuring a chicken entree option as well as a vegetarian option. We are thrilled to be serving a custom menu catered by Herban Feast, known for their incredible, award-winning farm-to-table cuisine. • If you have dietary restrictions or allergies beyond these options, please make sure to note them when you RSVP (or text one Joel/Bailey) so we can ensure the kitchen can accommodate you!
We’ve got you covered! Beer, wine, and a selection of spirits will be provided throughout the evening. Per venue policy, no outside alcohol is permitted on board, so please leave any personal flasks or bottles at home.
The boat will open to guests at 5:00pm, and our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please arrive early enough to grab a seat, be greeted by sweet Jolene, and enjoy the lake views before we say "I do."
Semi-formal Garden Attire: think colorful sundresses, floral prints, suits, linen/khaki pants, polos, button ups Keep in mind that you will be walking on a historic boat deck, so you may want to rethink stilettos or ultra-spiky heels—block heels, wedges, or flats will be much friendlier on the wooden decks!
Due to the intimate, historic nature of the ferry, space is limited. We can only accommodate the guests explicitly listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
