Yes - Our ceremony will start at 2:00 PM, as Catholic weddings are scheduled at specific times. The reception will follow at 5:30 PM. There will be around a two-hour break between the ceremony and reception. Below, we've included suggestions for activities during this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!
Here are some suggestions for how to spend the time between the ceremony and the reception. Please note that the venues are approximately 20 minutes apart. There will be a 'pre-reception' gathering at the Westin hotel for out-of-town guests or those who live outside 'the loop'. Light bites and drinks will be served. If you wish to attend, please let us know via your online RSVP to help us ensure an accurate headcount. For local guests, you might use this time to head home, freshen up, and prepare for the evening festivities. Alternatively, you can enjoy a drink at a nearby bar or restaurant. We recommend checking out 'Down the Street,' 'Julep,' 'El Tiempo' (known for its great margaritas!), Kirby Ice House (Gessner Location), Postino Town & Country, or Daily Gather. We look forward to celebrating with you!
Yes - we will have shuttles leaving for the following route: Westin - Ceremony - Westin - Reception - Westin. Please let us know if you plan to utilize transportation via your online RSVP.
Yes - there is a free parking lot adjacent to both ceremony and reception venues if you choose to drive. The ceremony parking lot may fill up as it is located inside Memorial Park - if so there is ample street parking available.
Don't worry, we will be keeping you out of the Texas September heat. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.
Please see our "Travel" page for more information on where to stay. We have a room block at the Westin, Memorial City and encourage guests to stay here as transportation will be provided from this hotel.
Although we love all the littles in our lives, we are unable to host children at the wedding and reception. We appreciate your understanding!
For out-of-town guests, we highly recommend renting a car as Houston is fairly spread out. Ubers and Lyfts are also readily available throughout Houston.
