Someone Who Couldn't Attend
There will be someone missing from my wedding day, watching from heaven instead of sitting in his chair in the kitchen where you could always find him. My great-grandfather's absence will be deeply felt, and I miss seeing him there, hearing his familiar voice saying " I love you, Bailey. See you soon. " He was funny, kind, and could turn the simplest moments into hours of conversation just by sitting and talking. He loved having his family close to him, and that love is something we all still carry. I wish more than anything that he could see me on that day, but I know he is watching over us, smiling with pride. Though he isn't here in person, everyone here misses him, and his presence will forever be a part of our hearts.
Someone Who Couldn't Attend
There will be someone watching from heaven on our wedding day instead of standing beside us, and that is Ethan's Mother. I never had the opportunity to meet her but through every story and every photo, I feel like I know her. I've been told she was kind, deeply caring, and a true fighter - someone who always put Ethan first and made sure he was okay no matter what. She cared fiercely for everyone she loved, and if you messed with one of them, you better run, and that alone says so much about the incredible mother she was. When you see her picture, you see Ethan instantly. I know without a doubt she was an amazing mother, daughter, and sister, and I wish more than anything that she could be here with us and that I could have met her. Her love lives on through Ethan, and she will always be part of our day and family. I know she is looking over Ethan and will always be there for him in spirit.
