What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 4:30PM outdoors at Trey's Vista. We recommend arriving at Spruce Mountain Ranch around 3:45PM to leave plenty of time to drive up to the Upper Ranch, park, and find your seat. After the ceremony, guests can move towards the reception area for a cocktail hour with hors-d'oeuvres and drinks on the Patio and the in Spruce Room before we begin dinner in the Ponderosa Room.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, our wedding is cocktail attire. Please wear your best swanky outfit, we're all for dressy jumpsuits, etc, but leave those jeans at home!! At Spruce Mountain the weather does cool in the evenings, so be sure to bring a light sweater or jacket to stay cozy as the barn doors will be open as long as weather permits them to be!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, but we kindly ask that any children under the age of five stay home with their favorite grandparent or babysitter. :)

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception? What about transportation?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking at the Upper Ranch just outside of the Ponderosa Room. When you arrive at Spruce Mountain Ranch, make sure to tell attendants you are headed to the Upper Ranch so they can direct you to the correct road. Please note that no cars can be left overnight at Spruce Mountain Ranch, so plan accordingly if you are driving yourself to the event. If you're staying at the Colorado Springs Marriot, your reservation includes a ride to and from the wedding via a Marriot shuttle service. If you're staying at the hotel and hoping for a ride, please connect with us over text or email and we'll get you on that list.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

While we would love to see your perspective and photos from the cocktail hour and reception, we are having an entirely unplugged ceremony. Please silence and put away your cell phone for the ceremony's entirety, and we promise you will have ample opportunities for photos after.

What time does the event end?

Answer

Our reception will wrap up at 11pm. We will have a final sendoff around 10:45-50PM, but the venue is expecting all guests to exit by 11PM. Please remember that no vehicles can be left at Spruce Mountain overnight.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting a welcome party in Colorado Springs on Saturday, October 8th at Bailey's parents house. Please email bethscrumpton@comcast.net if you'd like to join us for an evening of cocktails and mingling!!
