It all began with four simple words... “Save me a dance.” In August 2021, Bailey came to college with no idea that just one month later, she would meet the love of her life. It all began on a typical Thursday night at her favorite place, Banita, a country dance hall in Nacogdoches, where the music was always good and the nights were always fun. While Bailey was out doing what she loved most, dancing to country music, she noticed someone who caught her eye from afar. That someone was Ben. Not even five minutes later, Ben made his way across the dance floor, and the first words he ever said to her were, “Save me a dance.” From that moment on, they danced the night away and have been inseparable ever since. It took a while for that first date to happen because she told him no for about a month until she finally agreed. Ben invited Bailey to ride along as he showed her his favorite parts of Nacogdoches. After spending some time together, those times sparked the start of something truly special. A fun twist in their story: the first time Ben asked Bailey to be his girlfriend, she said yes… and then the very next day she changed her mind, realizing she wasn’t quite ready. But just two weeks later, her heart knew the answer was yes for good. On November 30, 2021, they officially started dating, and life together has been an adventure ever since. From decorating their first Christmas tree together that first December in Ben’s apartment, to dressing up as Peter Pan and Tinker Bell for their first Halloween, to going to concerts, cheering at a Buffalo Bills NFL game, enjoying their college experience together, and creating countless memories along the way, every step brought them closer. On February 15, 2025, Ben asked Bailey to marry him, and she joyfully said yes. Now, they can’t wait to continue writing their story as husband and wife when they say “I do” in June 2026, surrounded by their favorite people.
