The Story of Us

First comes school, then comes marriage.

How We Met We met at Urshan College in the year 2019. We had many classes together but first noticed one another in English. The class was asked to tell their favorite book and why. Bailey confidently raising his hand remarked "The Oneness of God by DKB". Ashlee rolled her eyes thinking "what a kiss up". Ashlee then spoke up explaining why "Great Expectations by Charles Dickens" was her favorite. Bailey then rolled his eyes at the sass she spoke with thinking "she may be pretty but I could never date her". Months later we found ourselves in the same friend group eating lunch together everyday. They drove each other crazy but made one another laugh like no one else could. Two years down the road, we found ourselves calling one another our best friend and that truly being the case. January 21, 2021, Bailey expressed his love to Ashlee. That same year in the month of May Bailey asked Ashlees dad for permission to date her and he said no... The following month Ashlee's family invited Bailey to Ohio for a week to surprise Ashlee (the family had finally warmed up to Bailey). Two years of dating flew by and in March of 2023 Bailey took Ashlee to the St. Louis Art Museum. The Proposal It was pouring down rain, and Ashlee reluctantly went inside following Bailey closely under an umbrella. There was so much tension in the air. As we wondered through the building, Bailey lead Ashlee back to the front doors of the building where he knelt on one knee and pulling out a ring asked "Will you marry me?". Ashlee cried tears of Joy saying "yes YES!!!". The past few months have been a dream. We are excited for our future together as newly weds and look forward to celebrating with our closest friends and family. See you soon in CBUS!
