Question

Should we bring gifts to the wedding?

Answer

First of all, we are so grateful that you are traveling to PV for our wedding, your presence for our big day is the ultimate gift! We ask that you do not bring any physical gifts to the wedding as we will be leaving for our honeymoon immediately after the wedding and will have limited suitcase room!

Question

What food/drink will be included?

Answer

We will be providing drinks and light snacks on Wednesday night for anyone that joins us at the Villa. We will also be providing dinner, dessert, and a full/open bar on Wedding Day!

Question

What free time will I have during the weekend?

Answer

Wednesday night is optional to join us at the Villa, Thursday morning and night are free time, as well as Wedding day prior to the ceremony, and all of Saturday is wide open!

Question

Will there be a group chat for the weekend?

Answer

YES! We will set up a group chat on Tuesday to keep everyone up to date on travel plans, meeting up, etc.

Question

How do we get from the airport to the condo/villa/apartments?

Answer

Most guests use taxis to shuttle to and from the airport as well as getting around in PV. Taxis come in all sizes from Sedans to large vans (up to 12 people). They have “zoned pricing” and you pre-pay as you leave the airport. It is inexpensive and safe. Other options: a) Limo-like services (such as Vallarta Transfers and Incentives PVTI). They can be pre-booked online, so the driver will be at the airport when you arrive. They also provide “refreshments”. b). PV also has a metro bus system that stops in front of our house every 15 minutes. The buses are convenient for trips to Mismaloya Beach, PV Botanical Gardens and Boca Marina.

Question

Do I need cash/pesos?

Answer

Credit Cards are accepted at most stores and restaurants. Check with your bank or cards to see what kind of fees are associated with their use. Some cards are much better than others. Many people still believe the USD is the preferred currency in Mexico. This is no longer true because the peso is much more stable now. The exchange rate at banks is approximately $19 pesos/USD. However, as discussed previously, vendors, markets, and non-banks convert at $17 pesos/USD due to fees and restrictions.

Question

Beach/Ocean Access

Answer

The best beaches are in Mismaloya (our beach), Los Animas, Yelapa. Most guests prefer the private beaches at Los Animas and Yelapa but to get there requires you to take a water taxi from the Boca Marina but it’s well worth the trouble. Please do not attempt to swim directly in front of our home because navigating the rocks and waves is dangerous.

Question

Wedding Villa Access

Answer

We are so thrilled, and beyond grateful to be able to host this event at such a beautiful location! The Villa is equipped with several impressive amenities. We are welcome to use the villa as a meet up spot, however, please do not plan on leveraging the villa for meals, drinks, or amenities outside of the events listed as this will incur us additional charges and impose unexpected work on the house staff.

Question

Who should I share any pictures of the special day with?

Answer

We have a photographer for the entire day, so we ask for no phones or photos during the ceremony, however, photos for the rest of the day are fair game and encouraged! we will share out a link/QR code for everyone to load photos into that you capture throughout the weekend!
