Bailey and I met in 2024 on Snapchat. We had been snapping back and forth for a couple of weeks, but we never actually had a real conversation until Saturday, November 16th. That night, I was at my aunt’s house in Hartselle to go to church with her the next morning, only fifteen minutes away from Bailey’s apartment. Meanwhile, Bailey was at a wedding venue in Guntersville that was basically in my own backyard. We started talking that night and ended up losing track of time for three hours before finally saying goodnight. The next morning, I told my aunt all about the sweet guy I’d met the night before. We went to Sunday school and then headed toward the service. On the way, I stopped in the restroom and used the floor-length mirror to take a picture of my outfit to send to Bailey. We headed up to the balcony where we sat every Sunday. As I walked by, I noticed someone looking at me; I didn't recognize his face, but I just smiled and kept going. Once I sat down, I opened a snap Bailey had sent me earlier. I recognized the ceiling in his photo instantly. I looked two rows down from my seat, and there he was. Somehow, out of every church in Hartselle and every Sunday of the year, we ended up in the same service. That guy I had smiled at ended up being the Best Man in our wedding—the only reason I even recognized him was that I had completely stalked Bailey’s socials the night before. Our paths had crossed so many times before at concerts and through passing friend groups, but God had a plan and allowed us to meet at just the perfect time, finally.
