Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and appropriately for the occasion. Jeans with a sport coat or blazer are acceptable for the men. Cocktail dresses are acceptable for the ladies.

We would love to celebrate with you and your children but there will be an open bar so please plan responsibly if you plan on attending the reception!

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will start at 6. Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

How do you cook a proper filet mignon?

Answer

We get this a lot. You need to let the filet come to room temperature before searing on both sides for 3 minutes on medium heat, finished either basted in butter or in the oven for 5 minutes on 300. Be sure to rest after removing from the heat for at least as long as it was cooked. But who really knows.

Given the fact that only one of us can read. We would say that LISTENING to "The Wheel of Time" for a fun fantasy arc, and READING "The Last Letter" (One of.. if not THE most.. eviscerating emotionally engaging books of all time) would be our recommendations.
