Blake and Baileigh met at a game day rehearsal at Southern Miss in the fall of 2022. She was a Dixie Darling and he was a trumpet player. Walking off the field for a water break, Baileigh had a hand held fan and Blake asked, "Could I borrow that for two seconds?" She was caught off guard and replied, "Oh...uh...sure!" After their first encounter, they would pass each other on campus and awkwardly smile and wave. As the football season continued on, a group of the Dixie Darling and band boys began going out together. They found themselves having great conversations with each other every night, which lead to them to finding out that they had mutual friends from high school. They stayed friends throughout the remainder of the season. When the spring semester rolled around, Baileigh invited Blake to Tri-Delta's Tri-Hop Pancake dinner. Blake bought a ticket and met Baileigh at the sorority house where they ate pancakes together and reconnected. They ended up talking until 2am that night and began spending every day together. One month later, they made their relationship official. Since then, they graduated from Southern Miss together in the Fall of 2023, then moved to Orlando, FL and worked at Walt Disney World. After completing their Disney College Program, they moved back to their hometowns. Blake began teaching and Baileigh began graduate school. Blake proposed to Baileigh on February 16th, 2025 and on April 4th, 2026 they will live happily ever after!
