It all started in January 2021 when a mutual friend decided to play matchmaker, not knowing just how much that one introduction would change our lives. Our first date at Taxman Cityway was supposed to be casual, but we ended up spending hours talking about everything—life, work, travel, and the things that we love. By the end of the night, we found out we actually lived in the same apartment complex! From that moment, everything just seemed to fall into place. In March of that year, we added a little more excitement to our lives and brought home Finley, the goodest boy. Whether it’s long walks or road trips, Finley’s been with us every step of the way. One of the things that’s defined our relationship is our shared love of adventure. We’ve spent the last few years traveling all over—whether it’s quick weekend getaways or bigger trips, we love exploring new places together. But no matter where we go, we also love coming home and hosting friends and family. Our favorite moments are often the simple ones, filled with good food and great company. After a few years of dating, we decided to move in together, and before long, we bought our first house—a cozy little sage green home where we’ve been building a life full of laughter, love, and memories. Then came December 2023, a trip that would start a new chapter for us. We took a winter getaway to Asheville, NC, where we stayed in the most charming tiny house tucked away in the mountains. Toward the end of our trip, Spence planned a hike to Chimney Rock, NC, where we climbed to a stunning waterfall. With the mountains and the sound of the water all around us, Spence got down on one knee and proposed. It was the perfect moment. We spent the rest of the day celebrating with tapas in downtown Asheville and capping it off with espresso martinis at the cutest little bar. Now, we’re so excited for what’s to come. Our journey has been full of adventure, laughter, and love, and we can’t wait to continue building our life together!
