The two used to go to the same gym and had caught glimpses of each other, but were both too nervous to approach the other. They lived only miles away from the other, but had never gotten the chance to talk to each other. This is where sangria, perfect timing, and fate came in. Cue the New Freedom Octoberfest in the fall of 2024. Jeff had his friend Craig over for the weekend and they were looking for fun, local activities to do. Bailee was working an event for her family's vineyard in the heart of New Freedom. Later in the day, Jeff stumbled upon the festival that Bailee just so happened to be working at and suddenly found a love for sangria. The unfortunate part was that every time Jeff went up to buy a sangria, Bailee's grandfather stepped in to serve him. Many, many sangrias (and one very long bendy straw) later, Bailee and Jeff finally got the chance to talk to each other and exchange numbers. After some meddling from both of their best friends, the group decided to meet up later that night to see each other again. They stayed up until three in the morning dancing, grabbing a bite to eat, and getting to know each other. From that moment on, they were inseparable.
