I’ve known Bailee pretty much my entire life, and honestly, I used to think he was so annoying. To be fair, he thought the same about me. We were always around each other at church and through mutual friends, but we never really paid much attention to one another… until everything changed. When we were both serving at our church, he was leading my little brother’s small group and I was leading his cousin. Even then, we were still in our own worlds, but clearly God had other plans. At a Valentine’s event at church, Bailee’s brother’s girlfriend (who is now his sister-in-law) secretly took a picture of me while we were all in the same room and sent it to him saying, “She’s so cute, you should date her.” The second I realized what she did, I was so embarrassed that I literally ran out of the room. But a day later, Bailee texted me, and from that moment on, everything changed. We’ve been together ever since, six years now, and he is truly my best friend, my answered prayer, and the greatest gift I never saw coming. I can’t imagine my life without him, and I’m so excited to become his wife.
We met at church as student leaders, even though we had known each other our whole lives. Funny enough, we didn’t even like each other back then, so ending up here was never on our radar. After seeing her one day, my sister-in-law stepped in and told me I should text her because she was cute. I listened. I texted her the next day, and what started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something real. From the beginning, I knew she was beautiful, but getting to know her made it clear there was much more there. What started with a little push from family turned into something we couldn’t imagine life without. I proposed in a quiet field of trees, she said yes, and now we’re excited to start this next chapter together.
