Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (Liberia- LIR)

We highly recommend flying into the Liberia airport in Costa Rica as it is closer to our venue! This airport is also known as Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport. You can find direct flights from Minneapolis or Chicago depending upon arrival/departure dates! If you have any questions on this feel free to reach out to either of us! As the wedding is on April 3, 2027, we recommend flying in on April 1 or April 2 at the latest.

Travel Note

Shuttle or Transportation Options

The venue offers a shuttle from the airport to their hotel/venue. It is around 70 minutes to Playa Grande. The venue's shuttle can hold 15 passengers. It is $200 per trip, so if you are interested, please let us know in advance. We will need to let the venue know ahead of time and try to get everyone on the same flights to share the shuttle/costs. There are also taxis, ubers, and other shuttle services available if you would rather just set that up for yourself! Here is a few options that the venue recommends https://www.stayonda.com/how-to-get-here-pg/ There are multiple car rental places near the airport as well if you are wanting your own vehicle for your time here. We recommend setting this up ahead of time and they will shuttle you from the airport to the car rental building. Please note that SUVs are much better on Costa Rican roads compared to short small cars.
