Kiara and Chris met as freshmen at Howard University in 2009, after Chris introduced himself via Direct Messages on Facebook. They first hung out at the school's cafe, "The Punchout", and soon became lunch homies. An organic friendship was formed due to their similar upbringings in the DMV area at a university where mostly everyone was from out of town. Chris always wanted to date Kiara, but the timing was not right. It was not until 2012 when they decided they wanted to take things a step further and began going on dates. Chris knew Kiara was the one after they attended a Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake concert and were going word for word with each other on their favorite Jay-Z song "Izzo." Things really took off soon after as they got to experience traveling to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Curacao, and a few other islands along the way. Then came the big leap! In 2017, Kiara and Chris decided to start a new beginning in Los Angeles together. There, they would dig a little more into their respective professions. In April 2019, Chris proposed on their relationship anniversary in Montego Bay, Jamaica surrounded by their family and friends. Kiara and Chris could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in their journey with everyone who has prayed for and supported their love along the way.
