Dear Guests, We have confirmed that our wedding celebration will be held on Saturday, May 8th, 2021 as planned! Yay!!! We cannot wait to see you all and celebrate, however, while we are finally able to host our event, safety protocols and procedures will be in place to ensure that our guests and their loved ones remain healthy. These COVID-19 restrictions are required. If any of our guests do not want to follow the safety protocols listed below, please consider not attending our event. We would be happy to celebrate with you in the future when COVID is but a distant memory! COVID-19 Protocols and Restrictions Required by our Ceremony and Reception Venue: 1. A face mask covering the mouth and nose is required* (*except when eating or drinking) 2. Social distancing is required (our venues have capacity limitations that we will abide by to ensure our ability to provide ample space for our guests) 3. Our venues have requested the telephone number of each of our guests that will be in attendance. The telephone numbers will be used to notify our guests if a confirmed exposure occurs at our event. 4. The AB Brewery Tours in between our ceremony and reception have been canceled for the time being. If they are reinstated by May 8th, we will let everyone know at our ceremony! Dom and I know that these restrictions can be a real drag, but I promise that we will all still have an amazing time together on May 8th! More than anything, we want our guests to feel safe at our event, so we humbly ask that you make the health and safety of our guests a priority as well. We can't wait to paaaarty!!! Dom and Kara both attended Affton School District, but they didn't formally meet until high school. Fate has a funny way of pushing people together, over and over again, until it finally sticks. During their high school years, they had multiple run-ins with one another, whether it was almost getting in a car accident in the high school parking lot, random conversations through the car window in the Lakeshire neighborhood, or Dom warning Kara about a boy that did not have honest intentions, fate kept placing them in each other's path. After they both ended long-term relationships with people that weren't "the one," they discovered their feelings for one another and decided to give it a shot!

For their first date, Dom picked Kara up in his Pontiac Sunfire for dinner and a movie. The dinner location was a surprise, so as they made their way to the restaurant, they passed the time by "singing" along (if you can even call it that haha) to the latest Glee soundtrack. Don't stop believin', am I right? ;) Almost to the restaurant, Kara realized that Dom was taking her to her all-time favorite restaurant, Viviano's, in Fenton. How did he know? He had to have asked someone! After all, Fenton wasn't that close to Affton. But low and behold, Viviano's was one of his all-time favorites too. It was easy. It was fun. And right from the beginning, it was love. Little did they know, that evening was the beginning of 9 years and counting.

For weeks, Dom was planning the ultimate surprise. He did his research and he knew majority of their friends would be in town for the winter holidays. He wanted to have all of the people they loved there to help them celebrate. So, he concocted a plan and set it in motion. December 15th was just like any other day for Kara. She woke up late on a Saturday morning, took her car to the shop for an oil change, and watched a tear-jerking movie on Netflix. Before she knew it, she was running late to get ready for date night! Dom's mother had told them about a "French wine tasting" happening at Vin-de-set that evening. If you know Kara and Dom, you know they love wine! So, running late, Kara gets ready for the wine tasting. Once they got to the restaurant, the manager informed them that their table was not quite ready yet and brought Kara and Dom out on the roof while they waited for their table. Bundled up in their coats, they took in the beautiful rooftop views of downtown St. Louis. Then a photographer approached them, asking to take their photo for Vin-de-set's marketing team. "Of course! Anything to support a local business we love!" A few snaps of the camera later and Kara is wondering how she can convince this photographer to send her those photos for free. Then the photographer asks them to change poses, and finally, Kara begins to get suspicious. But when she looks over to Dom, he's already starting to get down on one knee! All she could let him get out was, "You're my best friend..." and she was getting down on her knees to kiss him. "Is that a yes?!" the photographer asked. "I wouldn't kiss him and then say no!!!"
