Welcome! We're so glad you could join us

Jon and I grew up together at the same small private school. We liked each other in middle school but sadly parted ways at the beginning of high school. Fast forward to junior year where we both found ourselves at Mt. Hood Community College for the early college program. We scheduled a math class together and rekindled our friendship. On our first date, Jon took me to Portland Rock Gym and introduced me to the world of climbing. It became one of our favorite things to do together, and it still is to this day. After Mt. Hood, we dated long distance while Jon attended OSU in Corvallis and I attended Multnomah University in Portland. Despite Covid and the 2-hour commute on weekends and breaks, Jon and I continued to grow in our love for each other. Four and a half years later and here we are! We are both so excited for you to share our big day <3

After graduating from OSU with a double major in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, Jon accepted a job offer with Concept Systems where he now works as a controls engineer. He first discovered Concept Systems through the MECOP program, and we are so thankful that he did. After graduating from Multnomah University with a BA in Business Administration, I (Katie) worked at Adventist Health Portland as a Patient Access Representative for two years. However, the healthcare field wasn’t really where I wanted to plant my feet, so after a quick stint working as a barista at Silk Espresso in Gresham, I am now the operations coordinator at the company Toll Brothers. Despite how crazy these last three years have been with Jon interning and finishing his degree in Corvallis and me working multiple jobs, I really see the hand of the Lord working in our lives. God knew exactly what we both needed, and now our offices are five minutes apart! All glory be to Him.
