Ashley's version: Jared and Ashley lived in the same apartment complex (shout-out to Alexandria Colony) in Victorian Village, just a stones throw away from each other. They lived across from one another for over two years, not knowing each one had a crush on the other. Ashley remembers seeing Jared move in with his roommates in 2017 and thinking, "Oh, a cute boy is finally moving into this complex!" but not thinking much else of it. She would notice him from afar, often seeing him walk past her bay window. Her friends all knew she had a crush on the cute, tall boy that lived across from her. Meanwhile, she had no idea Jared had also noticed Ashley from afar. It wasn't until a random day in November of 2019 that Ashley was talking to another neighbor from the complex at the gym, when Jared and his roommate walked past and waved to said neighbor. When they had completely walked by, the neighbor confided in Ashley that Jared had a big crush on her, and would talk about Ashley to others while at the pool. When Ashley then exclaimed that she also had a crush on Jared, it was history from there. Jared’s version: Back in 2019 when I was still living the bachelor life I began noticing this really cute girl around my apartment complex. Spoiler, it was Ashley :) Our complex was split into two lots, and since I saw her often, I figured she lived in an apartment near mine. Over the summer I saw her at the pool a couple times and noticed that we had some similar friends, but still had never been introduced. I mentioned to a friend of mine that I thought she was cute and wouldn’t mind meeting her sometime. One day I ran into her at the gym and we made eye contact, so I figured I had to say hi at this point. Unbeknownst to me, the news that I had a crush on her had already made it back to her. Our first conversation went pretty well I thought. Probably because we both had crushes on each other already! I told her I recognized her from our apartment and she said the same. I also found out that she did indeed live right across the street! A few weeks later we went on our first date and we’ve been going on dates ever since! I’m so excited to marry the cute girl from across the street and I’m so thankful she liked me too :)
