August in Gold Coast is part of the winter season, but don’t worry, it’s quite mild and pleasant! You can expect daytime temperatures to range from 16°C to 24°C (61°F to 75°F). It’s usually sunny with clear skies, making it perfect for outdoor activities. Evenings can get cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 9°C to 14°C (48°F to 57°F). We recommend bringing a light jacket or jumper to stay comfortable, especially as the night goes on. Rain is unlikely, as August is one of the drier months, but it’s always a good idea to check the forecast closer to the date.
Ceremony and reception are all in place so no need to worry about travelling between places. Parking is available if you want to drive, but we’ve also got transport covered to and from the venue back to the Gold Coast. The drive is around 45 mins from Gold Coast
Our wedding will be on a working farm, and we have the entire venue to ourselves! Feel free to walk around and explore after the ceremony. Later on in the evening, there are a few areas where children can play, nap, or for anyone who wants some quiet time. For the kids, we’ll have professional nannies on-site to take care of them (it's a safety requirement from the venue). So, you can relax and enjoy the celebration!
We’re planning some fun activities in the days leading up to the wedding. They’re totally optional since we know some of you are traveling with family and some alone. No pressure to join—these are just things we’d love to do as part of our holiday, and you’re welcome to join in or do your own thing.
We will be providing details of accommodation soon. We hope we can all stay relatively close so if we are meeting for activities, it makes life easier.
We kindly ask that you refrain from using your phones during the ceremony. We have a professional photographer and videographer capturing the moment, so you can relax and be fully present with us. We’ve also asked the photographer to get plenty of shots of all of you, so hopefully, your phones won’t need to make a debut! Feel free to use your phones after the ceremony! And when you do post, don’t forget to use our hashtag: #back2Goh (Fun fact: Nicole’s mum’s maiden name is Goh too!).
