Carl had recently moved into an apartment in downtown Greensboro. Little did he know, Bridget lived in the apartment across the street. We noticed each other in the neighborhood a few times before being formally introduced by a mutual friend. After our initial introduction of Carl inquiring who Bridget’s dentist was (and her promptly telling him off, not realizing this was meant to be a compliment), we immediately hit it off and realized that every step we’d made in our lives had ultimately lead us to one another. After six years, one pandemic, seven jobs, six cars, one year of kindergarten, and three rental homes together, here we are. Ready for anything and everything together. 🤍

Carl, Bridget, and Aria took a trip to Cape Cod last summer. Carl suggested an impromptu family walk after we got ready for dinner one night. There was a park with a beautiful wildflower garden and walking trail across the street from our Airbnb. We took our time playing on the playground, picking flowers, and snapping pictures along the way. Bridget could tell something was off with Carl. He was more sweaty than usual. She even checked in, saying “You okay buddy? You look like you could use a snack”. Finally, we reached a point on the trail where you could see the entire garden and the sunset all at once. Carl said he wanted to get a picture of Bridget and Aria looking out over the garden. This picture took a little longer than Bridget expected. When Bridget finally turned around to see what was taking so long, Carl was down on one knee with a ring in his hand and a tear in his eye. He asked Bridget to marry him (of course, she said yes) and Aria officially pronounced them “Stallion and Mare”.
