If you came here for some fancy story about how we met and fell in love, sorry to ruin your anticipation. Having been two dedicated athletes, both growing up in St. Louis, we always ran in the same circles, but never really crossed each other's paths. Darrian accepted a full-ride athletic scholarship to play football at Missouri Western State University, while I went on to play Division I basketball at Missouri State University (with a few transfers along the way), also on a full-ride athletic scholarship. Both graduating, exploring opportunities, and taking on the twists and turns that life brings, Darrian moved back to St. Louis in 2018. I happened to do the same. It wasn't until the world began falling apart in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic that our two worlds collided. Businesses closing. Mandatory quarantines. At this point, everyone was just looking for a group of people and a place to connect. Low and behold, a "kick back" was scheduled at Darrian's apartment. I walked through his apartment door, we locked eyes, and that was the beginning of our forever together. Right there on Wash Ave. A tried and true St. Louis Love Story! Fast forward 5 years, we are married and expecting our first child to arrive in October 2025! Because we opted for a courthouse wedding on 11/22/23, we would be delighted if you joined us on August 16 to celebrate our love and the upcoming arrival of Baby Bass.
