Is there a gift registry?
Answer
No, there is no gift registry. Instead of gifts, Babette and David are requesting that guests make donations to The Path Forward Foundation, the new 501(c)(3) that Babette and David are establishing. The Path Forward Foundation website is www.thepathforwardfoundation.org. Alternatively, guests may consider bidding on artwork that will be available at The Path Forward Foundation Gala silent auction on November 1. We are currently planning to create on online silent auction site as well. 100% of donation and silent auction proceeds will be donated to organizations supporting Hurricane Helene recovery and relief efforts in Western North Carolina.

Which hotel should I stay at?
Answer
We recommend guests stay at The Radical Asheville. This is where the wedding ceremony and reception will take place on October 31. The hotel is just 2 miles from the location of The Path Forward Foundation Gala on November 1. We hope to have shuttle service from The Radical to the Gala on November 1. Will the wedding be held outside?

The wedding will take place on October 31, 2025 at 6 pm on the rooftop of The Radical Hotel in the River Arts District of Asheville. The wedding is scheduled to occur at sunset overlooking the river and the mountains. The wedding is scheduled to occur outside. If there is rain, the wedding will be moved inside to another location at The Radical.

What is the attire for the Wedding, Wedding Reception and the Gala?

WEDDING CEREMONY, Friday, October 31 The attire for the Wedding is "Evening Chic." For the ladies, long dresses and for the men, dark suits or black tie is appropriate. The wedding is scheduled to occur outside on the rooftop of The Radical Hotel, so please bring a coat if the weather forecast indicates cool temperatures. There will be heaters on the rooftop. No masks for the ceremony please - save the fun for the Masquerade Reception. MASQUERADE RECEPTION, Friday, October 31 After our wedding ceremony, please join us for an elegant Masquerade Reception, also on the roof of The Radical. We invite you to add an elegant mask to your attire, whether it's ornate and elaborate or simple and mysterious, for the reception following the wedding. Think elegant and festive – whether simple or elaborate, feathered, lacy, sparkling or unadorned. For those who prefer a less restrictive experience, a handheld mask on a stick is a stylish and elegant alternative. Masks only please - no Halloween costumes. Masks should be worn for the reception only , not for the wedding ceremony. FOUNDATION GALA - Saturday, November 1 The attire for the Gala is "Creative Cocktail." Dress for a celebration of creativity. We invite you to dress in your most expressive cocktail or long evening wear, statement separates, or a tailored jumpsuit with an artistic twist. We welcome bold colors, dramatic draping, and unique accessories. Embrace color, shape, and pattern to become part of the night's canvas. The event will take place at the site of our new Blue Star Gallery, with music and food in tents onsite and viewing of local art in the gallery.

Where will the Gala take place?
Answer
The Path Forward Foundation launch gala will occur on the site of our new Blue Star Gallery at 867 Haywood Road in West Asheville. This is both a celebration of the launch of the Foundation as well as the soft opening of the Gallery. Music and food can be found in tents on the property and guests are also encouraged to visit the Gallery to view artwork from local and regional artists.
