Our Wedding Story

We chose an intimate start to marriage in Hawaiʻi because we wanted our wedding day to feel like us - simple, intentional, and filled with meaning instead of logistics. Hawaiʻi holds a special place in Madison's heart after a lifetime of visits and college years spent there. Hawaiʻi is also deeply meaningful to Devon, whose family ties to the islands and shared trips there with Madison have made it a place woven into the fabric of our relationship. Hawaiʻi offered us a place where we could focus on what mattered most - our commitment to each other. Our elopement wasn't about not having a big wedding or the chaos that can accompany one, but rather choosing a day that felt honest and true to who we are. And it ended up being more magical than we would've ever thought. Now that we have had our magic moment, we are so excited to open the celebration to those who mean the most to us. While our wedding ceremony was intimate and wonderfully private, we have always felt that sharing this joy with our friends and family is just as important. Our marriage began in our perfect corner of the world, but our story includes all of you. We are so excited to host a reception to celebrate our marriage, not as a redo, but as a continuation of the joy we felt that day. We can't wait to eat, dance, toast, hug, and share the joy surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. We hope you will join us in celebrating this new chapter of us.
