In August of 2020, Brianna and Brandon met their senior year at UMHB through a mutual friend. When they first met, Brianna was attempting to cook a new recipe and Brandon, being a self taught "chef", struck up a conversation offering unprompted help. Despite her annoyance at first, Brianna and Brandon found similar interests and a friendship began. The pair spent their senior year spending a lot of time together from studying at the library to movie/game nights to dinner with friends. Brandon and Brianna developed a strong friendship long before any romantic feelings developed. Their friendship continued to grow over the course of the year until they graduated. From there, Brianna stayed in Belton teaching while Brandon pursued his Master's of Divinity at Truett Seminary in Waco. As often as they could, they would see each other on weeknights or weekends until December 2021, when Brandon officially asked Brianna on a date. Their first date was as magical as it can get, the two of them enjoyed ramen before walking through the Christmas Lights at the Houston Zoo. Neither wanted the night to end. A few short months later they began officially dating (though most of their friends would argue they had started dating long before). The months that followed were the happiest either had experienced. They love to spend their time having study dates, picnics, cooking/baking together, enjoying trips to the movies, and going on hikes. The two of them have supported each other through all of life's changes, Brandon adding a Master's of Social Work to his degree as well as beginning a full time job and Brianna taking on multiple leadership roles in her job while pursuing a Master's in Education. They both agree, falling in love with your best friend is the best thing to happen to either of them.

In July of 2023, Brandon and Brianna traveled to Colorado for a wedding Brandon was a groomsman in. Brianna was excited about this trip but was clueless about how wonderfully her life would change during it. Brandon planned the whole trip, from their first day in Colorado to their last. The second day of their trip had the morning blocked out for a romantic picnic on a small mountain overlook, Saphire Point. They enjoyed some fruit, wine, and bread and sat enjoying the view for a while. The weather was beautiful and the moment was perfect. Brandon pulled out and read a heartfelt, handwritten letter and then dropped to a knee in front of a gorgeous backdrop of mountains. They had talked about this moment for so long and with tears of joy, Brianna kept repeating "Are you serious?!". Hidden in the nearby brush was Brandon's friend and roommate taking photos to capture the moment. After a quick photo shoot, the couple went to a nearby restaurant where Brandon had Brianna's family waiting for them. They enjoyed the afternoon with her family before heading to the most incredible steak restaurant for a celebration dinner. Their waitress kept their glass full of champagne all night and they shared an amazing meal. The proposal was perfect for the two of them and Brianna could not be any happier with the effort that Brandon put in to make this moment as magical as possible.
