Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
To learn more about the desert creatures that occupy the land here in Tucson and to learn the history of the area, this is a top spot for seeing wildlife and the plants up close! The desert museum has a combination of a zoo, botanical garden, art gallery & classes, natural history museum, and aquarium.
San Xavier del Bac Mission
The San Xavier Del Bac Mission is located on the local Native American community of Wa:k (San Xavier). The bride grew up in this community and attended the San Xavier Mission School located next door. Learn about the Wa:k community and take a tour of the Mission. Be sure to visit the plaza located across the parking lot to see Native American Arts and Crafts and to try Frybread, a classic Native dish.
Pima County Fairgrounds
Looking for something fun to do? Check out the Annual Pima Country Fair with tons of rides to try, booths to admire, and food to try! The fair grounds open April 16-26 and certain days they have concerts so be sure to check out the website for the lineup!
