FAQ

Question

What is a Nikkah?

Answer

The nikkah is an Islamic marriage ceremony. Ours will include Quranic recitations, a brief message and prayer, and the exchange of consent between us. While it's a sacred Islamic tradition, everyone is welcome to witness and celebrate with us! The ceremony lasts about 20-30 minutes.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guest arrival begins at 4:30 PM. We encourage you to arrive then to get settled, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM Inshallah.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We invite guests to dress up with us! Please see our 'Dress Code' page for more details.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Alhamdulilah your presence and duas are truly enough. We don’t have a registry and kindly request no boxed gifts. If you wish to honor us beyond your attendance, a monetary contribution towards our future together would be appreciated.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 1st. This helps us finalize details with our caterer and venue. If you need a bit more time, just reach out to us directly!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we're only able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation. If you have a plus-one, you'll see their name or 'and guest' option in your RSVP. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but we're planning an adults-only celebration. We hope you’ll enjoy a night out!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We've reserved several room blocks at various hotels for your convenience. Please visit our 'Travel' page for booking details and other accommodation options in the area.
