The pre-wedding party - a night of music and dance for the bride & groom's family and friends to all meet in one space will be accompanied by Mehendi ceremony. Mehendi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. Indian Wedding tradition calls for a Mehendi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage.
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Festive attire (traditional yellow, pink, orange outfits)
Haldi is a joyous occasion for family and friends to bless the couple by placing a small amount of Haldi (turmeric) on the Bride and Groom offering their blessings while also cleansing the couple simultaneously. This paste is believed to bring good luck, ward off evil spirits, and give the couple a radiant glow for their wedding day.
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Indian traditional / Formal outfits
The Wedding Ceremony unites two souls spiritually, mentally and physically. Indian wedding ceremonies are bright and colorful, think sparkles!
7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Indian or western (Formal / Cocktail party outfit)
The reception ceremony will be followed by the wedding after a short break. Join us for dinner, dancing, and a night full of celebration as we begin our new chapter together.
