How We Met

Ana and Chris met in the fall of 2012 on the University of Minnesota campus. Ana had just moved to T-Hall at the U from the Chicago suburbs and Chris was home working for an AV company. On the first night of college Ana was lucky to meet a group of kids from Woodbury, MN. She meshed with them right away as they reminded her of her friends back in LaGrange. On the weekends, Chris would head over to the U and attend college parties with his Woodbury friends. This is how Chris and Ana first met. They would bump into each other in Woodbury or on campus over the next 3 years, always excited to say hi, but usually one of them had their sights set on someone else. That was until May of 2015 when @chrishayessurfbrah started popping up on Ana's snapchat. They would have snapchat conversations through the days and night. Once the Minnesota spring started to heat up, Chris invited Ana out on Lake Minnetonka on his Malibu. Ana met Chris out on Grays Bay, along with ten of her girlfriends and Flanders. Ana immediately noticed Chris' generosity that day. Later that week, the Chicago Blackhawks were set to play the Minnesota Wild in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Again, Chris generously invited Ana and her friend, who was also a hawks fan, to the game. To no ones surprise, the Blackhawks swept the Wild that night. Ana and Chris continued to snapchat and hangout on campus through the spring and into summer. They spent their evenings together on Lake Elmo, where Luke would spot Chris while he practiced wake surfing for hours. Weekends were spent in Spooner, Wisconsin, and after the summer of 2015 they made the relationship official.
