Never seen a cactus? Check out Saguaro National Park!
Tucson has a great bar scene! We personally recommend 4th avenue and downtown (fondly known as "Congress" based off the Congress street). The photo above is from our favorite dive bar known as "The Buffet." If you're looking for craft cocktails, Highwire is a bar that specializes in molecular gastronomy (you can get a margarita where your tequila is "beads" that you place in your drink!). Looking for an unique environment? No problem! Check out "Owl's Club"- a funeral home turned cocktail bar. You can also check out "Tough Luck Club"- an old morgue turned bar scene. Not a cocktail fan? No problem! Tucson has a lot of breweries! We personally recommend Borderlands, Dragoon, Crooked Tooth, and Barrio!
Want authentic Mexican food and a ~32 oz. margarita because why not? We highly recommend going to Guadalajara Original Grill. This is one of Alex's favorite restaurants. There are two locations. The one linked in the "View" area is the one up north by our hotel; however, feel free to check out the original location on Prince!
Tucson is known for their Sonoran hotdogs: a delicious bacon wrapped hotdog in a fluffy bun, with beans, salsa, and multiple other fixings! The "View" link will take you to El Guero Canelo. Feel free to go to El Guero Canelo, or BK's- both are great options!
Tucson is known as a city of gastronomy- so there is PLENTY of great food. The "View" link above will take you to the Tucson City of Gastronomy website. However, feel free to utilize this foodie link as well: https://tucsonfoodie.com/guides/the-ultimate-tucson-restaurant-bucket-list/
While we hope you take into account our recommendations- there is plenty to do in Tucson. Hit the "View" link to plan your own journey! Shopping, additional golf venues, food sites, etc. are all present on the website.
