From the moment our paths first crossed online, something felt undeniably right. Though we lived 45 minutes apart, a spark ignited between us that neither distance nor time could diminish. It was our shared values, interests, and undeniable connection that brought us together—thanks to the magic of social media, we were able to meet when we might never have otherwise. Our first date was the day before Valentine’s Day- Saturday, February 13, 2021. Seth planned the whole night out for us, and he surprised me with chocolate covered strawberries, a romantic candle-lit dinner at Crave in downtown Akron, and a spontaneous trip to the bowling alley. The instant we met, we both felt it—this was no ordinary connection. We were meant to be. Seth, with his steady purpose and genuine confidence, knew exactly what he wanted. That very night, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Though I wasn’t quite ready to say yes just yet—given that I wanted to meet his family and learn more about the man in front of me—I could feel the potential between us. After a few more dates, and with my heart fully sure, I said yes—not only to him, but to the beautiful life and future we were about to create together. For the next three years, we laughed until our cheeks ached, we traveled to places that filled our hearts with wonder, and we created memories that will last a lifetime. Through thick and thin, we supported each other in ways that only true partners do—through the heartache of family losses, the excitement of new jobs, the demanding journey of my master’s program, and Seth’s commitment to our future goals that led him to work two, sometimes even three jobs. We grew, we learned, and we loved with every step. After intentionally preparing ourselves for our next chapter, we felt a deep, divine pull to commit to each other in the most intimate way possible. At what I thought was just my family birthday dinner at a new Mexican restaurant, Seth surprised me with the sweetest proposal on April 21, 2024. Everyone was in on the secret except for me, and when he asked me to marry him, the whole restaurant erupted in cheers and applause! This was the easiest “Yes!” I have ever said. Four months later on August 17, 2024, surrounded by our closest family—our parents, siblings, and aunt—we were married by Seth’s uncle in a ceremony full of love, warmth, and deep faith rooted in God’s purpose for us. It was a day that marked the beginning of our forever, and we’ll carry it with us always. Marriage, in its quiet yet powerful way, has already taught us so much. It has been a journey of discovery, joy, and fulfillment, and every day we choose to live out the vows we made to each other. It’s in the small moments—laughing together over dinner, supporting each other's dreams, holding each other close—that we see why we said “I do.” We are overjoyed to celebrate part two of our story with you all on July 19, 2025. It’s been an unforgettable journey so far, and we can’t wait to continue it surrounded by the love of our family and friends at our wedding reception.
