Things to do in Istanbul • Historical peninsula Visit hagia sophia Visit basilica cistern Visit the spice bazaar Have lunch at pandeli restaurant Take taksi to arnavutköy Have dinner at adem baba (eat meze and drink rakı) Get cocktails at alexandra bar Visit topkapi palace Eat turkish ice cream Visit blue mosque Visit the grand bazaar Eat iskender for lunch nearby Have dinner and drinks at must nişantaşı Go to bomontiada for more drinks and maybe an event at babylon (check their calender at babylon.com.tr/en) Go to taksim square Walk through istiklal street Eat at tavanarası restaurant Walk down to galata tower (the rumor is that you will marry the first person with which you climb the tower) Walk down to karaköy Eat baklava at güllüoğlu (first ever baklava shop in istanbul) Drink coffee at karabatak Get drinks and the grilled octopus at mürver restaurant on top of novotel bosphorus • Asian side of Istanbul Get to the asian side of Istanbul (by sea taksi or regular ferry) Brunch by the water at çengelköy sütiş Walk to and visit beylerbeyi palace Have a drink at ayı bar Eat lunch at çiya (watch the çiya episode of chef’s table on netflix beforehand) Take taksi to maiden’s tower ticket booth Take boat to maiden’s tower Have drinks at the bar on the top of maiden’s tower and watch the sunset (make reservation beforehand) Take boat from maiden’s tower back to the european side of istanbul • Princes’ islands Take ferry to princes’ islands (get off at büyükada) Pet cats Rent bicycles and take a tour of the island Go to a beach (bring a picnic) Have drinks at splendid palace hotel Have dinner at milto restaurant Don’t miss the last boat from the island to mainland
