I was on the phone with a friend, still basking in the memories from the holiday. In the middle of our chat, some photos popped up on my phone from my brother. I laughed and told my friend, “My brother just sent me pictures of someone and basically said I should get married. A couple of days later, my brother asked again, “Can we give him a try? What do you think about this guy?” So I told him, “Alright. Let’s see.” Not long after, I got a message from the mystery man saying hello. I replied, and we started talking. I thought not my type initially, but when we started dating, I realized we are just meant for each other. A few months later, we finally met in person. And from there… well, the rest is history. What started with a skeptical laugh has turned into something beautiful and effortless. Now here we are, ready to say I do and step into forever together.

I got her contact from my friend while discussing on a beautiful evening in Lagos and decided to reach out, just to get to know her better, on personal ground tho. Looking back, that first text feels like the opening line of a story I will be telling for the rest of my life. Our conversations grew quickly, moving from small talk to the things that truly matter, our values, our dreams, and the kind of lives we wanted to build.
