Always & Forever

Ayonna and Joshua met on the first day of high school. They were friends for two years before they started to date. The pair dated all throughout high school, and when college came around, they went to separate universities. Ayonna was attending University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Joshua was at University of Wisconsin-Madison, over an hour apart. They visited each other every month. As the years progressed, they saw each other every weekend. After both graduated from college they decided to move back home to Kenosha.

Joshua asked Ayonna to be his wife on October 6, 2018, at Lake Michigan in Kenosha, WI. He took her on a series of mini dates, dates they had gone on all throughout their relationship. They included breakfast at the Coffee Pot, going to Jerry Smith's Pumpkin Farm, playing games at Action Territory, catching a movie at Tinsletown, and an ice cream date at Dairy Queen. After ice cream, they took a walk along Lake Michigan and stopped in a flower garden where Joshua asked her to be his wife. After the proposal, the couple went to dinner before Joshua brought Ayonna to the Yacht Club, and surprised her with an engagement celebration with a group of their closest friends.
