Like many modern love stories, ours began with a like. We first connected on Hinge while both in Houston. Jennifer was visiting from Atlanta and Ayo was in town with his family. That small coincidence turned into something truly life-changing. Not long after, Ayo flew to Atlanta to meet Jennifer in person, and we instantly clicked. From that point on, we talked every day through long phone calls, facetimes, and frequent flights to see each other. We did long distance for a year, building a strong foundation filled with trust, laughter, and love before Jennifer made the big move to Dallas. Since then, our relationship has continued to grow. We’ve traveled together, shared countless memories, and deepened our faith, growing together in our relationship with God. What started as a chance connection quickly became something real and lasting.

The proposal brought everything full circle. It happened at Mojave in Atlanta, the same restaurant where we met in person for the first time. After spending the weekend visiting loved ones, Jennifer thought she was heading to a casual dinner with her sister before flying back to Texas. Instead, she walked into a room filled with friends and family, soft music playing, and the warmth of familiar faces. Ayo had been planning the moment for months, choosing the place where it all began to mark the beginning of a new chapter. As Jennifer took in the surprise, Ayo shared heartfelt words about our journey and the life he envisioned for us. Then, in the same spot where our story began, he asked her to marry him.
