Ian and I started talking in June of 2019. Shortly after, I was away at the Bantz’s family cottage in Wisconsin for a week and a half with spotty cell phone reception taking, at times, days to respond to Ian’s messages. (So much so that he joked that good old fashioned “snail mail” may be more efficient). We instantly felt the other person was genuine, which was a nice change of pace when it came to online dating. Our first date started at Longwood Gardens and ended 7.5 hours later after a delicious dinner at Más (of course he suggested Mexican, because he knew it was my favorite!!) That day was the beginning of hundreds of days we spent walking around taking in the beauty of nature and architecture. During covid we ended up quarantining then living together. We spent our week days in Harrisburg bonding over renovating his 111 year old/ 6,000 sq ft beautiful rental property inside and out then spending our weekends at home. We had such a great time making daily design decisions, doing the work together, then taking nightly walks enjoying the local architecture (and large pond of ducks, haha). This whole experience brought us so close together and made us realize how much we really enjoy working together and doing these things as a couple. Soon after completing this property, we decided to get a puppy together and grow our little family unit to 3. Shortly after, Ian proposed at his grandfather’s 90th birthday party and officially asked me to join the family with them all present. We’re looking forward to celebrating the beginning of our future together with you all!
