From Roanoke: Take Hwy 221 south toward Floyd. As you start up the moun- tain, the highway turns into 3 traffic lanes. When you get to the top, the highway will level off and return to 2 traffic lanes; look for the Bent Mountain Fire and Res- cue Station on your left and turn left just before the Bent Moun- tain Fire and Rescue Station on to Slings Gap Road. Follow Slings Gap Road until you come to the 1st road on your left (brick church is the benchmark) which is Sugar Camp Creek Road. Turn left on to Sugar Camp Creek Road. Follow this road until you see the 1st driveway on your right (big green mailbox is the benchmark). Come on up...the SILVER HEARTH LODGE drive- way is 3/4 of a mile long. From Blue Ridge Parkway: Exit off of the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker #136 (Adney Gap) and continue to the stop sign. Turn right on to Hwy 221 north toward Roanoke.
