Let’s start with forever!

We met at a bar named Bootz in Oak Creek, WI (sadly no longer there anymore). Jake was hosting trivia there and Aylissa walked in with a friend who happened to know him. They went over to say hello and Jake convinced the girls to stay and play trivia. At the end of the night Aylissa ended up looking Jake up on Facebook and sending him a message, they continued to talk every day, and any time Jake was hosting trivia he would ask Aylissa to come keep him company. Jake finally got the nerve to ask Aylissa on an actual date and went to comedy sports for some good laughs and drinks. The dates and laughs continued on and we made it “official” in Colorado while Jake was living there briefly for work.

We took a trip to Colorado for Jakes 30th birthday, unknown to Aylissa, Jake had been planning to propose there for quite a while. The day after Jakes birthday the plan was to go on a hike. Taking the very sketchy road to get to the trail Jake had planned out, we made it in one piece. We did the entire hike and right towards the end we stopped to take pictures. While Leann (Jakes sister) was taking a picture of Aylissa, Jake snuck up behind and was down on one knee. When Aylissa turned around it was the best surprise ever! Lots of happy tears shed, champagne popped (Thanks to Elias) and sweaty hugs given. Was the best way to celebrate our new chapter in the place where it all began.
