Maid of Honor
Not only is Becky my baby sister, but she is also my best friend. We grew up together and shared everything we had, which means double the wardrobe! Becky is one of the most thoughtful people I know and super down-to-earth. Becky keeps busy as she is a mother to her three young boys and a golden doodle puppy! Not only that, but she is a wonderful elementary school teacher! I am so honored to have Becky as my Maid of Honor!
Best Man
The only non-Asian member of the wedding party, Cody is indeed very special! We met in nursing school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I followed his genius plan to eventually get into CRNA school. Although we went from being nerds in nursing school to now just sadder and more stressed nerds in CRNA school, Cody has been nothing but one of my best friends and a positive influence in my life! Cody currently attends CRNA school at Wake Forest University where he gets to learn how to put people to sleep for a living and for fun!
Bridesmaid
My new sister, but I feel like I've known Ellen my whole life! No longer the shortest in the family because I've taken that title from her! Ellen is so smart (she has her Masters in Engineering!!!) and is a very considerate person. We always have great conversations and end up talking for hours, and I can't wait to have many more! So grateful to have you in my life!
Groomsman
From work wife in the ICU to one of my best friends, Micalob has been with me through literally all the poop (smelly, watery, sticky, black, etc) you can imagine. Although it took me a couple months to learn how to say his name, I eventually reached the next level of friendship with Micalob when we used adjacent bathroom stalls at work together. Although we no longer work together, Micalob often texts me on how he reminisces on the good times when he would get to work with his 大哥 (I'M ONLY 3 MONTHS OLDER BUT IT STILL COUNTS).
Bridesmaid
One of the strongest and wisest people I know, Bai is the oldest of five and has paved the way for me and my siblings! We have a lot of relatable stories to share with one another as Bai is also a registered nurse! Bai has a great work ethic and is a hard-working mom! I am so blessed to have Bai as my sister!
Groomsman
Although I have only known Vada for a couple years, I can tell that he is someone who is very passionate, caring, and loving towards his whole family. The way I can tell is that no matter how many times I politely refuse to drink at family gatherings (because I am a one-shot wonder), Vada will always continue to offer me a drink because he wants everyone to feel included! I am honored to call Vada my future brother-in-law, and I am excited to hear the inevitable and spontaneous speech he will want to make once he has had a few drinks in him!
Bridesmaid
My sister-in-law and bonus sister! Growing up with you and Vada has been a learning experience! From our volleyball days in Asian Club to now, I am very proud to see your family grow and the home you've built for your family! Can't wait to see you twerk on the dance floor!!!
Groomsman
If there is one thing to know about Rob, it is that he knows how to have a good time! Rob is the chillest and funniest guy on the block, and, best of all, he is SINGLE AND READY TO MINGLE. I am happy to call him my future brother-in-law as well! The funniest thing I ever heard Rob say was "tall tree". IYKYK.
Bridesmaid
Jazmine is special because she is the first niece of the family! I will always see her as my little Jazmina the ballerina! Jaz has a a big heart and treats others with kindness and sympathy. A true Gen Z, Jaz is authentic and stands up to injustice. Jaz is an inspirational young woman, and I could not imagine my big day without her as my bridesmaid!
Groomsman
Andrew, AKA the Food King, and I beat the odds to survive draconian after-school tutoring at Time Education Center with the all-knowing Spencer. After countless hours spent learning AP Bio and Chem, Andrew now lives on the East Coast making the big $$$, utilizing absolutely zero of the knowledge he gained from AP Bio and Chem. Hooray for tutoring!
Bridesmaid
The only Hmong person I met when I moved to California, Sunshine and I immediately hit it off at work! Sunshine is a hard worker and one of the most caring friend. Our conversations during and outside of work were always so comforting and felt like two old friends catching up! Sunshine may seem timid and soft-spoken, but, trust me, she definitely knows how to hit the dance floor #club54!
Groomsman
The OG from elementary school, Chris and I have known each other since fifth grade. Bonding over our fear of tiger moms, we pushed each other through countless AP/Honors classes, endless hours of after-school tutoring, and learning the saxophone. To this day, I still remain undefeated against Chris in basketball (my record is 69-0), and don't ever let him tell you otherwise!
Groomsman
One of the true OGs from high school, the reason we first became friends is because people said we looked like each other, so much so that my mom once almost picked him up from school instead while I was left behind! I will never forget one time when the Spanish teacher caught Matt sleeping in class, so he told her his name was "Edwin", and she took points off my grade!! Matt really is a brother from another mother!
