FAQs

Question

What should we do on Friday night?

Answer

If you come into town Friday night, there are lots of great dinner spots and bars in central Durham. Here are a few recommendations: -Roses Meats and Sweets (ayla's fav spot) -Thaiangle (excellent thai, dine in or carry out) -Lakewood Social (good for big groups/kids) -Mateo (upscale tapas) -Bar Virgile (limited menu, great bar) -Queeny's (fun downtown pub with food) -Fonda Lupita (delish, no ambiance) -Dashi (bar upstairs, delicious pan-asian)

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Garden party chic. Think florals, paisley, lots of color, and shoes that can walk/dance.

Question

Can we bring our kid(s)?

Answer

Due to reception venue constraints, we kindly ask that local guests and those not related to the wedding party leave their kiddos at home. However, kids are welcome the next morning for biscuits at our house!

Question

What is the rain plan?

Answer

If rain/big mud is projected on June 6, our backup plan is to move to the front porch/yard. The porch can probably fit ~40 people standing, so we would ask that those who plan to attend be prepared with umbrellas and a good attitude. And if you aren't up for rain, that's totally okay! We would still love to see you at the reception afterwards! All that being said, let's pray to the gods for good weather.
