We actually met through Snapchat. After talking for a little while and getting to know each other, we realized we lived only five minutes apart. It's still funny to think we had been that close all along and never had met before. For our first date, we decided to go to Oval Beach in Saugatuck to watch the sunset together. There wasn't anything over the top about it, it just an easy conversation and a really good first date that neither of us wanted to end. As our relationship grew, so did our life together. We're both working full time. Ayden has been working at Georgetown Township and I have been working as a Dental Assistant in Holland. So we've learned how to balance busy schedules while still making plenty of time for each other. Somewhere along the way, we added our dog Hutch to the mix, which has made life a little louder and a lot more fun. Two years after that first date, Ayden brought everything full circle. On our two year anniversary, he took me back to the same beach we had watched our first sunset together and proposed. It was simple, meaningful, and perfectly us. From living five minutes apart to building a life together, we're so thankful our paths crossed when they did, and we can't wait for what's to come next.
