No western clothes allowed! Wear the traditional dress of your ancestors, or you can borrow Arabic traditional clothes from Ayat's family. If you have questions about what to wear, feel free to reach out.
An Arabic henna party is a pre-wedding celebration where family and friends apply henna to the bride and other guests. The event is marked by music, dancing, food, and sweets. This event will only be open to out of town guests only. Parking is limited to street parking.

Karim and Ayat have a 2025 goal to plant 100 trees. Some of our friends have expressed an interest in helping us with this goal. So the day after the wedding, we will be partnering with a local non-profit to plant 100 trees on their land. We will provide food, trees, shovels, and other needs. You will just need to show up ready to get your hands dirty. It is also a beautiful location to just hang out after the wedding. There will be places to sit and eat in between tree planting.

Instead of doing a traditional bachelorette and bachelor party, we are doing an opt-in camping trip. To minimize on travel for our out of town friends, we are planning for this trip to right after the wedding. Current plan (which may change as we get closer to the date) is leave Sun Oct 26 and drive to New River Gorge National Park. It is the newest national park, a 5 hour drive from Cleveland, and beautiful in the fall. Popular activities include hiking, rock climbing, and white water rafting. This will be a loose group activity where people are free to do their own activities, and we can hang out together at the campsite at night. RSVPing yes to this event means you will be added to a group chat where we can figure out logistics.
