Yes, a valid passport is required. Some guests may also need a visa depending on their country—please check your local requirements in advance.

We recommend arriving at least 1–2 days before the wedding to settle in and enjoy the city. Departures can be planned at your convenience after the celebration.

Our wedding dress code is formal. For women, this means a long evening gown, and for men, a suit and tie are appropriate.

The ceremony will start at 4pm Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony to get settled.

Most international flights arrive at Istanbul Airport (IST).

Both will be held at the same location. Most likely at a rooftop restaurant.

November in Istanbul is typically mild but can be cool, especially in the evenings—bring layers!

What currency is used? And Should I bring cash?

The local currency is the Turkish Lira, but many places accept credit cards. It’s a good idea to have some cash for small purchases, taxis, or markets.

Yes—Turkey uses European-style plugs (Type C & F).

What’s the best way to get around?

Answer

Uber, taxis, walking, etc. depending on how long you are wanting to stay and if you want to travel out side of Istanbul, renting a car is a great option as well! But if you are only staying a few days and only staying in Istanbul, uber, taxis and even walking is perfect!
