Both of us were the main ones taking notes and answering questions during summer camp training. We then ended up paired to teach a classroom together for said summer camp. Immediately, we butt heads. She stuck to the schedule, I liked to play it by ear more. She came to work 1hr early, I got there 2mins early or right on time. We both had fun playing with the kids, and would have home down 76 from work. She watched my streams and I stayed up on the phone. We talked about any and everything, frequently straying from the task of "lesson planning meetings".

I'd carefully coordinated and nearly rescheduled this day due to the fact weather that week. Our mutual friend Aisha took her out to her her nails done, as planned, and I drove hallway down to her parents' house before realizing I'd forgotten my wallet. I had to turn around and dodge a phone call from her, while her parents dodged curious looks as to why they were dressed up when she surprised them with a visit. Guitar, check. Hopefully future mother-in-law, check. We drove to Cira Green, where I set up my picnic blanket and rose petals. I had the restaurant chill the champagne. I nervously tuned my guitar and practiced my reworked and rewritten rendition of Sweater Weather. In the lyrics, I would propose, but the words were so anxious on my tongue, and Lion King was playing. After some top tier stalling, and a convenient street festival, they came after the movie with some soft background music. Up until I began to play, she swears she had no idea what it was about. When I said the words and held out the ring, she gasped and said "YES," and we were engaged. I blushed when people began to applaud. I'd been so focused I'd forgotten all about where we were. All I saw was her and her joy. Inside the ring, was our anniversary and the words "Safe space secured". The some was her favorite, moss agate, surrounded by diamonds .
